Agency to Remit Payments
Select the type of Government Agency to Remit Payments to:
Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
Continue using your payroll remittance form for reference. If you have misplaced your payroll remittance form, please Click here to request a replacement:
Use On-Line if you have previously set up your payroll remittance through your On-line Banking (Click here for setup instructions).
Use Interac/Debit if you do not have your Payroll remittance setup through your on-line banking.
CRA-On-Line Banking
Select the appropriate CRA Payee:
- Monthly/Quarterly or Regular: Federal Payroll Deductions – Regular/Quarterly – EMPTX – (PD7A)
- Threshold 1: Federal Payroll Deductions – Threshold 1 – EMPTX – (PD7A)
- Threshold 2: Federal Payroll Deductions – Threshold 2 – EMPTX – (PD7A)
- Select the Type of RP (Payroll Source Deductions) payment:
- Regular remittance: Use if you are not an accelerated remitter and you are required to make payments once a month.
- Quarterly remittance: Use if you are eligible to remit quarterly (once every 3 months).
- Accelerated threshold 1 remittance: Use if you remit from $15,000 to $49,999 in monthly deductions.
- Accelerated threshold 2 remittance: Use if your monthly payments are $50,000 or more.
- Balance due: Use if you are making a current, last or previous year payment for an unassessed outstanding balance. (PD4R payments, T4 difference).
- Arrears/penalty/interest remittance: Use if you are making an arrears payment for amounts previously assessed.
- Pensionable and insurable earnings review (PIER): Use if you are making a PIER amount owing payment.
- Payment on filing: Employers who meet the eligibility criteria can make a reconciliation payment by the last day of February without being subject to a penalty or interest.
- Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy re-payment: Use if you are re-paying a Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy payment.
If our service prepares your periodic payment we would have provided you with the Payroll Remittance form by e-mail. Use this as a reference when entering the following:
- Gross Payroll for Period: Enter the amount of gross payroll for your reporting period.
- Number of Employees: Enter the number of employees in your last payroll run.
- Period End: Select your Period End (Year and Month)
- Amount of your Payroll/Source Deduction Payment: Enter the amount of your payroll/source deductions payment.
- Post or submit the payment.
- Print payment confirmation and retain it in your business accounting files for no less than 7 years.
- Note that it takes up to 72 hours for payments to appear on your CRA Payroll Source Deductions Tax account. If you would like an updated statement of account for your Corporate Tax Account, please Click here to make that request from our office.
CRA-Interac/Visa Debit/MasterCard Debit
You can make your RP (Payroll Source Deduction) payments using your Interac, Visa Debit or MasterCard Debit card as follows:

- Select Pay Now button.
- Select Payroll source deductions as an account to pay
- Select the appropriate CRA Payee:
- Monthly/Quarterly or Regular: Federal Payroll Deductions – Regular/Quarterly – EMPTX – (PD7A)
- Threshold 1: Federal Payroll Deductions – Threshold 1 – EMPTX – (PD7A)
- Threshold 2: Federal Payroll Deductions – Threshold 2 – EMPTX – (PD7A)

- Select the appropriate CRA Payee:
- Click the Next button.
- Confirm your payment (selecting modify to make any changes). Then continue by selecting the Confirm and proceed to the pay button.
- Confirm the payment and select the Pay Now button.
- Select either the Interac or Debit Visa/Debit MasterCard as payment method.
- If you selected:
- Interac then continues with logging into your online bank account and complete the payment.
- Visa Debit/MasterCard Debit then continues with providing your Visa or MasterCard debit card information to complete the payment.
- Print confirmation of the payment receipt and keep this in your files for no less than 7 years.

CRA-Setup On-Line Banking Source Decuction
In order to be able to pay your companies payroll source deduction directly through your on-line banking you will need to:
- Contact either your On-Line Banking customer service or your bank branch directly.
- Make the request to have Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) tax remittances to be setup.
- We suggest that you have all of your tax remittance accounts set up at the same time.
- You will need to provide your bank with the correct account numbers:
- For your CRA payroll source deduction account, your Nine Digit Business Number ending in RP followed by four digits. For example 123456789RP0001.
- If your business is registered for GST/HST, your Nine Digit Business Number ending in RT followed by four digits is your CRA GST/HST Account Number. For example 123456789RT0001.
- If you are incorporated, your Nine Digit Business Number ending in RC followed by four digits is your CRA Corporate Tax Account Number. For example 123456789RC0001.
Workers Compensation Payments
Select the applicable Province of Territory that you wish to remit Workers Compensation premiums. Please use the information within the message our office has sent you. Click here for reporting code explanation.
WCB-British Columbia
You can remit your British Columbia Workers Compensation Board (WCB) by:
- Use the WCB form form which corresponds with the reporting period. This WCB form will include a remittance voucher. Fill in the payment amount (which our office has provided) in the:
- Amount due field in the bottom detachable remittance voucher on the WCB form.
- Amount due field in the top portion of the WCB form
Proceed to your bank to make this payment and ensure that the bank date stamps the top portion of the WCB form (keep for your records), while the bank will retain the bottom remittance voucher portion.
- Click here to access the WCB Online Payment system (you can make payment with Visa or MasterCard credit cards). PLEASE NOTE: WCB imposed a maximum credit card payment of $10,000 over a 30 day period. Note that you will be required to provide both your WCB Account Number as well as the WCB Access Code which is available from the latest WCB Report which you would have received.
- Make your payment through your online banking. You will have to make sure that your WCB vendor account has been added to your list of Vendor or Bill Payee's (call your bank for more information). You will need to provide your WCB account number.
- Mail or Courier a cheque payment made payable to Workers Compensation Board and mail this payment. We suggest proof of delivery and tracking. You will need to include your WCB Account Number (we suggest in both the Memo field as well as the bottom right-hand corner of your payment cheque and include the words “WCB Account No: WCBAcct“). The WCB Mailing address is: WorkSafeBC PO Box 5350 Stn Terminal Vancouver, BC Canada V6B 5L5. - Drop off a Cheque payable to Workers Compensation Board. You can select from various office within the lower mainland by clicking here. Please note that normal government hours apply to all offices. You can phone WorkSafeBC to confirm hours of a specific office at: 604-244-6490. You will need to include your WCB Account Number. We suggest in both the Memo field as well as the bottom right hand corner of your payment cheque and include the words “WCB Account No: WCBAcct“.
